EXPERIENCE

Freelance Content Designer | British Council | Jul 2019 - Present

The British Council is the UK's leading cultural relations organisation. As a freelance content designer, some of my responsibilities are:

● Managing user-centred content for over 100 websites and blogs while following the company’s style guidelines.

● Sustaining a content calendar that enables a more punctual delivery. This is crucial as I regularly work with large global rollouts, with different deadlines for each country.

● Working with multiple stakeholders to facilitate the launch of sites, products and campaigns, including the complete optimisation of one of the company's main websites, Take IELTS.

● Developing and implementing good user-centred design principles for the Take IELTS blog, one of the British Council’s main blogs.

● Revisiting more than 400 posts, on different country-blogs, to make the content more easily accessible to users on mobile devices.

● Liaising with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop content strategies, such as the creation of completely new web pages to be published as part of a lead generation campaign, vital for the company’s awareness amongst its main audience.

● Editing and publishing content based on analytical data and keyword research. Some of the strategies included the creation of new, mobile and user friendly CTAs, that made it easier for users to interact with the content.

Freelance Video Editor | Sept 2011 - Nov 2022

Navigating diverse sectors like education, sports, and engineering, I honed my craft in tailoring accessible content to diverse audiences.

● Edited videos 'on location' for big names like Visa and Mastercard, producing and delivering content at pace during the clients’ events.

● Managed different stakeholders' simultaneously, collaborating with production teams and liaising closely with clients to ensure content precisely met their requirements.

Senior Video Editor | ShootMedia | Dec 2013 - Nov 2016

ShootMedia is an award winning creative agency from London, specialised in creating customer-focused content for renowned clients such as Puma, Mini, L&Q, Financial Times.

Some of highlights from my role includes:

● Collaborating in successful video marketing campaigns that, through the use of strategic content, generated 11 times more leads, with 79% reduction in cost per lead.

● Working in ‘social first’ campaigns projects that generated huge reach and were featured in The Guardian, Time Out, the Evening Standard and on ITV, as well as across local and trade press.

● Participating in the campaign that won the prestigious Digital Impact Award within the Property Sector at the Transform Awards.

This Degree is regarded as one of the best in Brazil, and it’s known for offering the students a unique hands-on learning experience. I’m proud to say I concluded the course with the highest score on the final university assessment and I also:

● Contribute to the University Newspaper, covering daily campus news, during one of my work placements.

● Worked at one of the University’s online scientific magazines, conducting interviews with numerous professors and translating complex concepts into accessible content.
